With my MF4380dn I have to press the Scan button on the keyboard. This shows Networking Scanning. I then need to press the Scan button again to show USB Scanning. After doing this I can then scan using Image Capture.
And for our imageRUNNER devices, while there is no Mac pull-scanning support, on Windows computers with Color Network ScanGear installed, we need to select the Scanner view on the copier touch panel and then enable the Online setting. This then allows us to pull scanning from the copier ADF.
So I would expect the MF8350dn to require a similar selection to one of the above in order for you to scan.

Agree with all the comments about Neat for mac. Every time mac upgrades their OS, the Neat scanner stops working. All I want to do is scan quickly and directly to pdf on my computer. I don’t want cloud storage. I was just about to buy a Scansnap until I learned that they are possibly using Neat software? That’s the reason I’m leaving Neat.
